Police declare ex-militant leader wanted over alleged arson

Chukwudi Akasike, Port Harcourt THE Rivers State Police Command on Thursday declared an ex-militant leader, Solomon Ndigbara, wanted for alleged arson. Ndigbara who hails from Yeghe community in Gokana Local Government, Rivers State, was said to have ordered the burning of a building. The command disclosed this in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Wednesday by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Muhammad. Muhammad explained in the statement that the suspect had, in February 2016, set ablaze a property in Bori, the headquarters of Khana Local Government Area of the state. Court jails 70 years old chief for raping pupils

Femi Makinde, Osogbo An Osun State High Court sitting in Ilesa has sentenced a septuagenarian, Chief Moses Adeniyi, to seven years imprisonment for raping two teenage pupils. The judgment is contained in a statement issued by the Information Officer of the Osun State Ministry of Justice, Mr. Opeyemi Bello, in Osogbo on Thursday. Adeniyi, who is the Loja, Araromi Otokobo was arraigned in court on Mach 28 2011 was charged with rape and indecent assault. The prosecution team from the Ministry of Justice: Tijani Adekilekun, who appeared along with Folasade Adekomi told the court that the convict offered a free ride to the girls, who were coming back from school and he drove them to his hotel where he raped the two teenagers one after the other. A married woman is in serious trouble after she bathed her husband with hot water because the food he provided for the family was not sufficient for her and their children.
