PHOTO: Aisha Buhari Condoles With Mrs Osinbajo Over Demise Of HID Awolowo


Top country officials and ordinary Nigerians are mourning the demise of Chief Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo.

The sad news broke yesterday, September 19, that the prominent matriarch of the Awolowo family died at the age of 99.

President Muhammadu Buhari commiserated with Vice President Osinbajo, whose wife, Dolapo, is a grand-daughter of the departed matriarch.

The country leader expressed confidence that Chief Awolowo would always be honoured "for the indelible legacy of very significant, behind-the-scene contributions to communal, state, regional and national development which she has left behind."

Aisha Buhari, the president's wife, also mourned the death of the respected Nigerian.

She passed her condolences while paying a special visit to Mrs Osinbajo. See the photo below:

Facebook Crime: Police nab NYSC member others

A serving member of the National Youth Service Corps has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for robbing university students. Four others were also arrested for luring people with the use of Facebook and kidnapping them. While speaking to Southern City News , the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ali Okechukwu said the arrests were only made possible through the help of the public.
